How to Measure a Chair Seat Cushion


The three most important and common measurements for accurate custom seat cushion are:
• Width: Measured from left to right while facing your furniture.
• Depth: Measured from Front to Rear while facing your furniture.
• Thickness (Height): This measurement is made from seat bottom to the desired height or cushion thickness.


Another important measurement is the rear width of your custom seat cushion. It is common for some patio furniture cushions to have a tapered or trapezoid shape. If this is true in your case, please measure and provide both front and back seat cushion width measurements.

How to Measure a Chair Back Cushion


The three main measurements that you need for your custom chair back cushions are:

  • Width: Measured from left to right while facing your furniture.
  • Height: Measured from top to bottom while facing your furniture.
  • *Thickness: This measurement is to customers discretion.

Another measurement to be aware of is the bottom width of your where your custom back cushion. Some chair back cushions may also have a tapered or trapezoid shape to the chair back cushion. If this is true in your case, please measure and provide both top and bottom chair back cushion width measurements.

How to Measure a Bench Seat Cushion or Ottoman Cushion


The two main measurements that you need for your custom chair back cushions are:

  • Width: Measured from left to right while facing your furniture.
  • Depth: Measured from front to back while facing your furniture.

Be aware of non-square cushion shapes and measure any obvious shapes. This is very important to ensuring the best fit of your custom patio furniture cushions.



How to Measure a Chaise Cushion or Hinged Cushion

There are four main measurements that you need for your custom chaise cushion or hinged cushions. When measuring for this type of custom cushion, we recommend that you begin by laying the cushion in a flat position for Ease and better accuracy in measuring.

  • Width: Measured from left to right while facing the cushion.
  • Height: Measured from top of the cushion (back) to hinge location of the cushion.
  • Depth: Measure from the bottom of the cushion to the hinge location.
  • Thickness: This measurement is to customers discretion.
